Piano Playoffs – Where Music Meets Competition!
When you think of playoffs, you probably think of sports—but have you heard of the Piano Playoffs? It’s the most competitive musical event since musical chairs!
Piano Playoffs combine fun, competition, and a supportive spirit through both team and individual events. Students compete in various disciplines, including:
Technical Exercises – Scales, chords, arpeggios, and Hanon
Sight-Reading – Quick and accurate musical interpretation
Quick Studies – Learning and performing a piece of music with one week to prepare
A panel of adjudicators evaluates each category, awarding prizes to top-performing teams and individuals!
Highlights
Team Formation – Students are grouped into teams of two or three one week before the event.
Quick Study Pieces – Released a week in advance for independent preparation. All students in a division will receive the same piece.
Adjudication & Scoring – Qualified adjudicators evaluate both team and individual events using a points system.
Award Standings – Points determine Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners.
Awards Presentation – Held after each skill bracket.

Levels 3-4
Levels 5-6
